As brothers, Scott & Brian were both born at the Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, New York. The 4th & 5th of the 6 children of Richard John and Dorothy Anne Stark Kubricky, their father was a New York State Trooper, when he wasn’t working for his father John and, after his death, other companies as a crane operator. Their mother was a Registered Nurse who got her Masters of HealthCare Administration at The New School while a full-time Health Care Administrator over multiple facilities. Scott & Brian both attended Queensbury Union Free School District, K-12, but Brian traded his senior year of high school for his freshman year of college to join Scott in Utah.
Scott attended Utah Technical College and Brigham Young University in Provo, UT and the State University of New York – Adirondack in Queensbury, NY until he received his Master of Science from The University at Albany in 1998.
Scott worked extensively, along with his father’s brother Duke Kubricky, over many years for Granite Construction Company in Santa Barbara, California as a Road Crew Laborer, Equipment Operator and finally in the office as a Project Estimator. When Duke relocated back to Glens Falls, NY in the late 1980’s, Scott worked for Duke Kubricky Construction (DKC) as an UnderGround Utility Project Estimator and Equipment Operator until Duke’s death in 2009. Scott worked for the Tom Kubricky Company (TKC General Engineering) as an UnderGround Utility Project Estimator, Operator, and Crew Foreman until starting John Kubricky & Sons in July of 2019.
With over 35 years experience, and projects all across the country, Scott brings a wealth of construction know how to John Kubricky & Sons. His world class education, and extensive formal job training and experience, make him the ideal leader as majority owner.
Scott resides in Queensbury, New York with his wife of many years Julie McLaughlin Kubricky, and is the father, with his deceased wife Christine Hunter Kubricky, of Jacob Hunter, Quincy Dorothy, and Forrest Scott Kubricky.
Brian attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and completed his under-graduate and graduate work in 1991 majoring in Management Accounting and minoring in Micro & Macro Economics.
Having gained the necessary experience for licensure with one of the Big 6 multi-national accounting firms (Coopers & Lybrand, LLP – now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) as a Financial Auditor in Albany, NY Brian then broadened his experience by working for The State of Utah, Office of the Legislative Auditor General as a Performance Auditor analyzing and recommending improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of government operations. MegaDiamond, a division of Smith International (Schlumberger), which manufactures ultra-hard synthetic diamond oil drilling head bits, recruited Brian to serve as the Assistant Financial Controller until a college friend brought him into his new start-up Vineyard Productions. Vineyard Productions has produced over $400 Million in commercial, feature, and scripted series motion picture work in over 79 countries and on most continents. Brian has served as Assistant Financial Controller, Production Controller, and now as Chief Financial Officer and a full equity partner. Between movie projects, Brian has worked with multiple construction and scrap metal recycling companies as well as companies in the restaurant industry.
As an equity partner, Brian brings not only his substantial net worth to John Kubricky & Sons for project bonding and debt financing, but also his world-class education and experience to help ensure the long-term financial stability and on-going operational success of the company.
Brian resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his life partner Katherine Kong Kubricky. They are the parents of Brooke Elizabeth, Rachel Anne and Taylor Kong Kubricky.
